As the world continues to confront COVID-19, the Caruth Police Institute (CPI) and Bill Blackwood Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (LEMIT) prepares to offer executive development in a manner never before seen. With information, policies and guidance rapidly changing, CPI/LEMIT, in consultation with a leading medical advisor, has prepared a plan to resume training opportunities. The purpose of this plan is to maximize the resumption of executive development to law enforcement agencies to meet operational and mandated requirements with the appropriate balance of mitigating risk to those involved in training.
We offer these guidelines to you as our partners in Texas law enforcement to consider for use, under your agencies' medical advisement, as you also resume training. While you are free to implement the guidelines as they are written, you are also free to modify them to fit your agency needs. However, we encourage you to have any modifications reviewed by an infectious disease/medical professional.
Also, please feel free to share these guidelines with your members with the above message included.
