Lone Star Leadership is a mirror course of the Texas Police Chief Leadership Series (TPCLS). The Texas Police Chief Leadership Series is designed to assist top police administrators in developing their leadership skills and in recognizing those factors that impact the effectiveness of law enforcement agencies. The program is taught by nationally recognized experts in each area of the curriculum to provide the highest caliber of instruction available. LEMIT is the only training provider and TPCLS is the only course to fulfill the TCOLE training requirements for Texas Police Chiefs as set forth in The Education Code, Section 96.641.

Course cost includes 5 nights at University Hotel (located next to LEMIT Building), welcome reception on Sunday afternoon, and meals (breakfast at hotel, lunch Monday-Thursday, one evening dinner).

Schedule for the Week:

Please arrive at the hotel on Sunday, May 19th by 4:00 p.m.
Class begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at 5:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday; Friday class begins at 8:00 a.m. and ends at noon. The program involves working lunches (lunch is provided).
Recommendation is to book airline flight leaving IAH after 3:00 pm

Cancellation Policy:

Registered participants who are unable to attend may submit a request for a substitution attendee no later than 7 days prior to event date. All attendance information will be reported to sponsoring agency. Lack of attendance by registered participants in COPS sponsored trainings may disqualify agencies from future COPS trainings.
